What is Guest Mode and how does it work?
Guest Mode lets you create custom device restrictions, known as "Modes", that you can activate before handing your device to someone else. Modes work by using the built-in Screen Time feature to block access to specific apps, websites, and system features.
I don't plan on handing my device to anyone. Can I just use this by myself for something like focus or to restrict content I have trouble avoiding?
Yup! You can set up modes to help with personal focus by using time settings to automatically activate at certain times or to countdown and deactivate after a time limit. You can also use the internet settings to block all adult content or to only allow certain websites.
Can Guest Mode mess up my device or delete my apps?
Nope! Apple does not allow apps to delete other apps or to brick your device (and for good reason!). Guest Mode uses the built-in Screen Time feature to only create restrictions, so it can't delete or modify your other apps. It only blocks access to them while a mode is active.
